The useful product is the operating layer around the call: what was requested, what is safe to book, what needs staff review, what should never be automated, and how the clinic can see the outcome.

That makes the engineering work concrete: integrations, latency, reliability, observability, privacy boundaries, and human handoff design.

What you will do

Build and maintain backend services for real-time voice, SMS, reminder, recall, and scheduling workflows.

Design API integrations with dental practice management systems, telephony providers, and internal workflow tools.

Turn messy operational signals into clear staff-reviewed tasks: missed calls, after-hours demand, recall backlog, cancellations, and open slots.

Collaborate with AI, product, and operator-facing teammates to ship safe workflows rather than generic chatbot demos.

Improve reliability, observability, deployment, and debugging paths for live customer workflows.

Help implement privacy, security, and access-control boundaries for sensitive clinic and patient-adjacent data.

What we are looking for

## Builders who like the uncomfortable middle between software and operations.

✓ 3+ years of software development experience, or equivalent evidence of shipping production systems.

✓ Strong backend experience in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or similar production languages.

✓ Comfort with REST APIs, webhooks, queues, databases, logs, and the debugging work that happens between systems.

✓ Experience with scheduling, CRM, telephony, healthcare, dental, or other workflow-heavy integrations is a strong plus.

✓ Practical security mindset: scoped access, audit trails, privacy-sensitive data handling, and clear failure modes.

✓ Clear communication and willingness to work close to real customer operations, not only abstract code.
