Original data · Nova Scotia · June 2026
In Nova Scotia, 82.7% of dental practices can’t be booked online from their Google listing.
We analyzed 549 Google-listed dental practices in Nova Scotia. 82.7% have no online booking link on their Google Business Profile, and only 7.2% offer real-time self-scheduling — so 92.8% have no instant way to book online. Schedule leakage starts here: a ready-to-book patient who can’t book or reach the office leaks the moment the front desk is busy or closed.

Method
How we measured this.
Source: gmapsweep Canadian dental-practice cache (Google Maps listings + website enrichment), as of June 2026. The Nova Scotia universe is 549 Google-listed businesses categorized as patient-facing dental practices; dental labs, supply stores, hygienist clinics, schools, and uncategorized listings are excluded. Province is derived from the postal Forward Sortation Area on each listing.
The booking figures come from a place-page recount: we open each Google Business Profile and record the Book button and what kind of booking it offers (real-time scheduler vs. appointment-request form), refreshed June 18, 2026, across 528 re-checked Nova Scotia listings. The website figure comes from the Google listing. These are discoverability signals, not a quality judgment of any practice and not a per-practice dollar figure. FAQ
Questions about Nova Scotia.
How many dental practices are in Nova Scotia?
This analysis covers 549 Google-listed patient-facing dental practices in Nova Scotia (of 19,374 across Canada). Province is derived from the postal Forward Sortation Area on each Google listing.
What does "no online booking link" mean for Nova Scotia practices?
It means no booking action on the practice’s Google Business Profile — the one-tap "Book online" patients see in Google Search and Maps. A practice may still offer booking on its own website; this figure is specifically about bookability directly from the Google listing, from a place-page recount that opens each profile.
Is this a ranking or quality judgment of these practices?
No. These are discoverability signals — how easily a ready-to-book patient can find and book online — not a judgment of clinical quality, and not a per-practice figure. No individual practice is named; every number is an aggregate.
